In chapter 7 they were talking about groups and
organizations. Have you been on social media network lately? Well if you have I
know you heard about the big brawl that happened at the McDonald's in Brooklyn New
York. There were a group of teens no older than 18. That jumped a girl that was
nothing but 16 years old. They attack the young girl while she was at McDonald's.
A whole lot of people where seeing her being attached but, no one decided they
should help. Everyone just stood around and watched the fight even the
employees and managers at McDonald's. This fight went viral. And it is still
going around as we speak today people in the world are cruel. Some of the girl
where happy and where trying to be funny stating that they were famous because they
were on the news. I would call the group of girls a primary group because they
were all close friends riding for each other. They also share personal beliefs
unless they would have never jumped on the girl. The suspects had been messing
with the innocent girl for quite some time. It was all happening on some source
of social media. The video was on face book twitter vine and world star. This
fight was planned and bound to happen. I thought social networks where made for
people to interact and mingle but in this case it went a whole another level to
bulling. The girls where jealous of Ariana Taylor because she wasn't like them.
Those girl where just forcing themselves on beating her up. it a lot of
different ways they could of handled it. I would say this was group conformity.
The reason I say this is because it only took one girl to fight. And the other
girls where just fighting just to look cool and to fit in. Now they are in deep
trouble they also might be facing jail time just because of their dumb
reaction. There was one suspect that was trying to escape to Jamaica and never
made it because she was caught in Atlanta at the airport she was the authoritarian
because she the one that started all the stuff and had the other girls join her.
She was in charge of the whole fight. Things that happens to teenagers now and
days are really sad it’s like they don’t have any freedom to do or any anything
without being judged. The victim really didn't deserve anything that happened
to her. She was beautiful and whatever happened to those girl, they deserved it
because they could have handled the situation a lot different than they did.
The 6 girls are currently getting charged with gang assault felonies and are
being charged as adults. The society was looking at the fight like it was a
joke and how the girl was getting one of the girls while they were fighting and
it was really sad because she couldn't defend herself any longer and when she
got on the grown that’s when there were kicking her and stuff. Those girls
deserve everything that is coming their way and that is my opinion.
