Language. Are We Speaking Right?
Everyone has a language from all over the world. It could be
Greek, Korean, Spanish, Chinese, Spanish, etc. but whatever the language,
people have this form as well as need to communicate with each other. Many of
these languages can either extend a conversation or even make it short. For
example, do you want to go with me to the store? While in Spanish its ¿Quieres
ir conmigo a la tienda? We can see that when a person speaks the Spanish way of
saying it is shorter than the one in English. Although there are many who can
see the difference between languages when spoken there is a language that is
changing the world as we write and making it even shorter. Communicating has
never been simpler until the 1990’s when the first text message was sent out
and made it easier to communicate around the world.Texting is changing the way
people communicated with each other because a conversation can be shortening to
abbreviations. For example:
DWAI (don’t worry about it)
GL (good luck)
SMH (shaking my head)
LOL (laugh out loud)
TTYL (talk to you later)
This new language is
revolutionizing the way many interact with others in their everyday life. Many
of the people who use these are often teens however many adults have begun using
these methods of texting as well. Methods that can be positive as well as negative
towards it.
Imagine Bobby want to ask Sky to the school dance. He can either
ask her in person or write her a quick message to just get it over with. Does
this make him less sociable because he isn’t in person face directly? Rejecting
is in our everyday lives. Getting rejected from the college of your dreams,
rejected from a job, rejected from a kiss, etc. A whole conversation can be
talked just by using abbreviations, which can cause a lack of communication
between
