does culture really have a impact on peoples lives

Culture really has an impact on people’s lives. Culture is the way of thinking, acting and the material objects that together forms a person’s way of life. The Sandy Hook shooting is a great example. Here is a little recap on what happened. In 2013 a 20 year old boy came to Sandy Hooks School where his mother worked and shot up the school. Adam Lanza shot 20 kids and 6 adults including his mother.
The schools shooting is involved in culture because it shows a child not getting enough attention at home due to his mother not being able to give him proper attention nor direction. His mother didn’t do a good job setting up rules and guideline that a parent gives an adolescent. I think that’s what had a strong impact on him. He probably took action in killing his mother and all those kids is because he didn't have enough attention at home his mother didn't believed in punishment. She was so used to punishing him how she would punish kids at school. He probable had lack of attention so when it came to his beliefs he didn't know which one to turn to. He was never tough any better. Beliefs are specific ideas that people hold to be true. His mother thought since she was a teacher, he should of know better and she thought that probably if he needed help with anything he could come to her. But at the same time she never actually explained that to him. He didn't have a symbol in his life. Something to believe in or something to look up to. He didn't have a male role model. He didn't know who to talk to when it came down to his personal problems because his mother always stayed so busy. Culture had a big impact on the 20 year old. He was never use to the norm of society. He wasn’t able to process what was coming his way from people in the world. And being able to take an active role in the real world.
The world was devastated about the whole shooting it happened in Connecticut and it was worldwide. No one wanted to see this happening to them, especially getting killed at a young age not even getting to graduate, live life or anything. They were only in kindergarten. Those children nor the teachers deserved that. The teachers had families that they went home to and didn’t even make it home to them all because he let life get the best of him. I don’t think that they should of hide anything from the kids, but at the same time help the kids understand what happened. I think that Adam wanted attention that why he shot up the school. The 20 year old that killed all those people was a victim of society. He couldn’t handle the real world.
The world is very crazy place. The reason I say this is because 20 people or more are shot in Chicago. And it’s just a norm compare to sandy hooks. They made a big deal out of Adam killing 20 kids, but in Chicago 20 kids are shot each day. The reason why the world focused on him is because he was an individual who was seeking out attention and they want to know why he did that and most of the shooting in Chicago are gang related.  Chicago is a big deal the look over that but when on guy come and shoots up 20 kids in one day and kills his self-theirs a big deal. But this guy targeted the innocent and we want to know why.

In conclusion, around world people kill them self-every day, because they can’t deal with the everyday norms, of waking up and fear of the world accepting them. People are not use to society and what it has to offer that's what he killed his mother and himself after he killed everyone.
