It is clear that no matter how hard society tries, gender equality seems to never be possible. Which is pretty much true, no matter how much we try there will always be someone who is unhappy. Unfortuently in the case for women, things like respect and wage are not as important as men. Women make about seventy seven cents for every dollar a man makes working. Another big issue when it comes to gender inequality is that women are expected to look certain ways and act certain ways simply because they are women. And although it may see like women may have it worse off than men, which in many cases they do, thee is one thing they have in common. It seems like we mainly talk about how women get raped, but what many don't seem to realize is that men are abused as well. With that in mind, many men keep it a secret because society expects men to be tough and strong.
A way i can relate to this is seeing my mom and dad both have a job. Fortunately, my mother is making more than my dad because she has worked harder to get what she wants. Both of my parents are very hardworking, but in my parents case, it is clear that as long as someone works hard for what they want, then finding a good paying job should be no issue. And although my mother always messes with my dad because she makes more, which again, is another form of gender in equality because society expects men to make more than women, it show that it is possible for many women to make more than men. On the other hand, in today's society, it is clear that women may have to work harder than men to get paid equal.
I thought this was an important subject to blog about because it is something that has been avoided for years. It isnt until now that women are starting to speak out and give the topic attention. It is also important because this topic is also the future and it is important that things like gender dont effect how much someone's hard work is earned
