“How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers.” – Mother Teresa

“I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.” – Ronald Reagan

One of the biggest issues in today’s society is the topic of life. Is a small fetus inside a mother really considered a living person? Or is it just some mass of tissue inside the mother until the very late stages in the pregnancy? Many protest every year revolve around this topic of interest that takes place during the March for Life in none other than our nation's capital. The government considers the people that take part in the walk, terrorist. This concern and controversy of a topic had been fought for many years and has no intention of ending the annual protest. So which is morally right, Pro-Life or Pro-Choice?
Millions of women have had an abortion due to selfish or medical reasons. I cannot help to feel sorry for these women because the feeling of loss, pain, and emptiness they lie, deep down, inside of them for the rest of their lives. However, some women who make the decision to commit an abortion sometimes may have a medical issue, and if they continue throughout the pregnancy, it could ultimately take their own life. There are also women who make the decision to have an abortion because they feel they are not ready, and they have no desire to have a child or their own. There are other options besides abortion. Adoption is always something that should be considered because many couples in this country that cannot conceive a child want nothing more than to complete their family. Our country is trying to keep the status quo by allowing the people responsible of their own decision, but some people just do not know how to make the right decisions sometimes, on the moral aspect.
The Pro-Life point of view stands by the moment an egg is fertilized, the start of a new life begins from that moment. A zygote is formed, which is a mass of DNA and other human molecules and is without a doubt can be no other species besides a human being. DNA includes characteristics that are inherited from parents who will ultimately make that person unique and an individual person. The moment of sperm enters an egg; a new entity exists, which is obviously a living human and exceptional individual who deserves the chance to live on this world. This is considered murder at any stage of the pregnancy, and if people can live with that, then those are their own battles.
The Pro-Choice point of view stands that it has nothing to do with science and purely on moral and political philosophy. A person should have the choice to decide what to do with his or her own body, and no one can force you to do something that you do not want to do. This viewpoint purely supports a women’s rights and any choice that is made is legal in this country.
There are predictions that this debate is going to become obsolete sometime in the near future to the fact that contraceptives are becoming more perfected and reliable. The whole debate will diminish because if a woman did not want a baby, she would be on birth control and never have to deal with the responsibility of having a child.

There my two very opposing views, where they could be debated about for hours. However, my personal view point is that I think you should choose life, because that is what your mom did.
