Mormons dealing with everyday life struggles

In the blogger A Well Behaved Mormon Just trying“ to do more good” one day at a time, there are many aspects of this blog that catch everyone’s eyes and just feel as if they are supporting one side to an argument. This blogger shows many different views from different women through religion. Religion is displayed as a big idea in this culture and is shown through many different ways. Some Mormon women see themselves as children of god and they are the true disciples of god. They feel as if there is no other way to view religion.
The chapter I can compare this blog to is the religion chapter. They did a good job by showing how religion is. The reason why I feel they did a good job at displaying religion is because everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and values. This is no different through the eyes of a Mormon just a couple different views and morals. The things I don’t see right with this b logger is that most people don’t view Mormons as Christians so it didn’t really affect anyone when asking about their views as disciples. I feel as if this is morally wrong because everyone is entitled to their own religion. One shouldn’t feel left out of a religion because of their certain branch of beliefs. The one thing I see wrong with this blogger through the religion chapter is that Mormon feminists believe that their way is the only way and they are not willing to give up any side or pressure from other religions.
One theory I can see this blogger compare to would be the functionalist perspective. The reason it applies to this theory is because throughout the blogger it explains how Mormonism is being declined and is not as popular as it once used to be. This would mean that Mormons would have to adapt to new branch of the religion and start off new with brand new beliefs and values. The bad things I see to this blogger would be that Mormons are declining every year and that number would show how many people actually believe in this religion and would be willing to follow. The declining number shows that not many people believe in it at first so it is not that popular. The reason why I feel that is a bad aspect is because it could offend Mormons and how they feel about themselves. But along with bad views, there are some that are good as well. For instance, Mormons who attend college are more likely to be religiously committed. In recent studies it is shown that most Mormons who attend college follow their beliefs which would show that this religion is still strong and there still are heavy believers. This would mean that the reason why it is declining is because of ones who are less educated and less obligated to do better in life. This blog reveals both good and bad aspects of this religion and display how every religion that stands today isn’t as well as it should be seen.
